Nancy Debra Biltekoff

12/03/1939 - 05/14/2023

Nancy Biltekoff passed suddenly this week due to medical complications. She was surrounded by her children, her twin sister, and many of her beloved grandchildren.

Nancy was born in Detroit, the daughter of Gertrude and David Shupe.  She moved to Buffalo at the age of 8 where she made many wonderful girlfriends who are still her friends today.  She attended Bennett High School and worked for a short time as a switchboard operator.  She married at the young age of 20 and quickly had four children by the time she was 29.  She began raising her family in Buffalo and then in Pittsburgh for 10 years.  She finally moved back to her home city of Buffalo in 1983 where she met and married her second husband, the late Joseph Biltekoff.

Nancy was the life of the party, loved to entertain, and was a fabulous baker who always brought her baked goods to family and friends’ events, as well as to her favorite hair salon so everyone there could enjoy her tasty treats.  In her early thirties she took up tennis and won the ladies singles at Williamsville Pool Club.  In her forties she learned to play golf, earning the coveted hole-in-one at Admirals Cove in Jupiter, Florida.

Nancy is predeceased by her parents, her brother Allen Shupe, her sister Billie Domenech, her husband Joseph Biltekoff, her daughter Julie Hertel who passed only 18 months ago, and her sister Joyce Shupe who passed one month ago. She is survived by her twin sister Natalie Abramson (Morton), of Williamsville and her adored children: Mark Clement of Florida, Lisa Studner (Brett) of Philadelphia, Michael Clement (Allison) of Williamsville, and Jerry Hertel of Virginia.  She also leaves behind her truly adored grandchildren: Amanda Schneider (Anthony Dong), Harrison Schneider, Mackenzie Hertel (Drew Geyer), Ben Clement, Madison Hertel, Phoebe Clement, Jordan Clement, Lindsay Schneider, Bryn Hertel, Erika Clement, Lauren Hertel, Lianny Clement, her great grandchild Leo Clement, and her precious dog of 15 years, Josie.
