December 20, 1948 – February 7, 2025
Beloved daughter of the late Lester S. and Betty Simon (nee Levin); loving sister of the late Myron S. (late Rhoda) Simon; aunt of the Hon. Michael S. (Deborah) Simon and Leslie (Ilene) Simon and the late Ida Saran; great aunt of Malorie and Mitchell Simon; great great aunt of Mason; devoted niece of the late Joseph (Marilyn) Levin; cousin of Craig (Sherilyn) Levin and the late Deborah Sue Levin.
Karen attended The Park School from 1961-1966. She graduated from Canisius College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1970 and a Master of Science in 1974. Following a brief career as an English teacher, she pivoted to interior design, having studied at Villa Maria College. She was the Co-founder and Practice Administrator at The Neiman Center for Dermatology and Hair Transplantation Center from 1980 – 2006. She then became an entrepreneur, opening Karen Neiman Interior Design, which provided a platform for her to showcase her passion to achieve perfection in every detail.
Karen was the embodiment of intelligence, style, grace, resilience and beauty. She was youthful and effervescent, living every moment to the fullest. She loved hosting and always knew how to curate the perfect experience for her friends and family. As a woman of faith, she always found opportunities to give back to charitable organizations that were near and dear to her heart. She loved her family, friends and fur babies, and was even know to her nephews as the “Cool Aunt.”
