Marlyn Rumizen (nee Shapos)

December 1, 1933 - November 12, 2024

Marlyn passed away on November 12th in Beachwood, Ohio with her loving family by her side. She was just 2 weeks shy of her 91st birthday. Adored wife of 63 years of the late Arthur James Rumizen; loving mother of Amy Jo Campagna, Lori (Mitchell) Friedman and Scott (Elizabeth) Rumizen; daughter of the late Saul and Jean Shapos of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; cherished sister of the late Barbara Bradin; devoted grandmother of Adam (Danielle), Lauren and Matthew Cohen, Brett (Molly), Chad and Douglas (Erica) Weisman, Max, Nikki and Charlie Rumizen, great-grandmother of Daniel Weisman, Leo and Jordan Cohen; aunt of Dr. Stuart (Marnie) Bradin and Allyson (Chris) Wilczewski.

Marlyn moved to Beachwood after her husband’s passing in 2019. She was an avid reader and an inspiration to her children. Known as “Nanny” to her grandchildren, she will be remembered for her impeccable sense of style and her love of family.

A Graveside Service will be held Sunday 12:30PM at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo, NY. Please assemble at the Delaware-Delavan gate at 12:15PM. The family will be receiving friends Sunday 2-4PM at Transit Valley Country Club, 8920 Transit Road, East Amherst, NY 14051 and Monday 6-8PM at the home of Liz and Scott Rumizen, 38355 Flanders Dr., Solon, OH 44139.
